BOAN releases EI 120 minute fire-resistant glass, leading a new standard for building safety
BOAN, a leading global manufacturer of fire-resistant glass, recently announced that its latest developed "multi-layer nanocrystalline silicon laminated fire-resistant glass" has been officially launched. This product has passed the European BS EN 1634-1:2014 fire test, achieving dual protection of integrity (E) and insulation (I) for 120 minutes. It is currently one of the highest fire protection solutions among similar products in the market.
Technical highlights:
Ultra long protection: 120 minutes of fire prevention time, suitable for the core area of high-rise buildings;
Impact resistance: 47mm thick glass can withstand 9J impact force (in accordance with BS EN 12600 standard);
Environmentally friendly design: No harmful substances, certified by ISO 14001 environmental management system.
The technical director of BOAN stated, "This product has overcome the problem of deformation in traditional fire-resistant glass insulated doors and windows. Combined with nanocrystalline silicon interlayer technology, it can still maintain structural stability under extreme high temperatures." Currently, the glass has been applied in the Guangzhou National Respiratory Medicine Center project and will be promoted to public facilities such as hospitals and subways in the future.
